WPC Welcomes The Quebec Potato Board as Gold Member
The World Potato Congress welcomes The Quebec Potato Board from Canada as a Gold Member of the WPC Sustaining Partner Program.
President Peter VanderZaag of the World Potato Congress Inc. is pleased to announce that partnerships continue to build with the WPC, welcoming the Quebec Potato Board as part of the WPC Partnership as a Gold member.
“As we step away from a highly successful Congress in Australia in 2024, our sites are set on the 2026 Congress and that excitement is building. We are excited to have partners like the Quebec Potato Board joining us in supporting our global potato industry initiatives”.
The Quebec Potato Board (PPTQ) represents potato farms cultivating nearly 19,000 hectares of Quebec land. The PPTQ is dedicated to the well-being of Quebec potato growers. They work to ensure Quebec producers receive maximum income for their high-quality potatoes and provide them with the tools to advance agronomic science, refine production techniques, improve company profitability.
“We’ve always believed that it’s fundamental to bring potato producers together to promote excellence in potato production and marketing; driving innovation, sustainability, and quality in Quebec agriculture. We lead targeted collective actions to support the growth and profitability of the sector. Our growers are committed to their industry and continue to invest in its future. As the potato industry evolves, the PPTQ will remain a steadfast advocate, representing their interests and promoting sustainable development.”
Today, PPTQ group includes approximately 230 active members.
