Don’t miss your chance to nominate a deserving colleague for a WPC Global Potato Industry Award, or to put your country forward to host the 2030 or 2032 World Potato Congress.

WPC Global Potato Industry Awards — Nomination Opportunity Closing Soon
The WPC Industry Award ceremony is one of the most prestigious events held at the bi-ennial World Potato Congress. Typically 3–5 exceptional individuals are honoured at each Congress.
Nominations must be received by June 30, 2026. Your nomination package must include:
What to Include in Your Nomination
Proposer details: Your full name, professional status, email, and telephone number.
Nominee information: Full name, contact information, career outline, and a statement of no more than 250 words explaining why this person deserves the award.
Submit to: info@potatocongress.org
Note: Letters of support will not factor into the decision. Please refrain from write-in campaigns.
Nominations are reviewed by the Industry Awards Committee, with final recipients approved by the WPC Board of Directors. The ceremony takes place at the 13th World Potato Congress, Naivasha, Kenya, October 26–30, 2026.

Call for Expressions of Interest: Host the 2030 & 2032 World Potato Congress
The World Potato Congress Inc. is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organizations interested in hosting the 15th and/or 16th World Potato Congress in 2030 and 2032.
Since 1993, the WPC has grown into a truly global event, gathering approximately 1,000 delegates from over 40 countries. Hosting the Congress is an extraordinary opportunity to showcase your country’s potato industry and agricultural heritage to an international audience, while driving significant economic and promotional benefit at home.
