World Potato Congress Inc. Announces Next Webinar on November 14, 2019 at 09:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time with Kris Michiels Presenting: Illustration of Regional Potato Promotion: Flanders (Belgium)
The World Potato Congress (WPC) is very pleased to be offering its sixth webinar via Zoom in its 2019 series with
Mr. Kris Michiels.
Mr. Michiels is a Marketing Adviser at VLAM (Flanders’ Agricultural Marketing Board) Mr. Michiels graduated in 1977 as a Commercial Engineer at the Catholic University of Leuven. He has worked at VLAM since 1988 and specializes in consumer insights and marketing strategy.
Presentation –
Mr. Michiels will explain why generic promotion for potatoes is useful and how it is organized in Flanders (region in Belgium). Following a description of the structure and the way of financing of VLAM, Kris will demonstrate how they work on a strategic way and to which kind of potato promotion campaigns this leads to. Kris will also share experiences and lessons learned about the potato promotion.
